About the role:

At Bunnings, we are committed to participating in the communities in which we operate. We do this by contributing to local, regional and national causes, charities and organisations throughout Australia and New Zealand. The role of the Activities Organiser is to help drive meaningful and active participation in our wide range of local community groups. As the Activities Organiser you will play a key part in facilitating a variety of in store and community-based activities that enhance the shopping experience for our customers, as well as build and strengthen existing relationships within the local community.

What's involved:

  • Organise, implement and manage all store activities and in-store vibe including kids activities, ‘Do-It-Yourself' workshops, supplier demonstrations, family nights and event planning

  • Visit local schools and community groups to deliver workshops and community projects

  • Manage donations and fundraising activities for our local schools and community groups

  • Assist in managing existing and new relationships with our community groups and be the key point of contact at their local Bunnings

  • Promote and communicate store events and activities, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for:

You are a community minded individual who enjoys participating in and supporting local schools and community groups. We are looking for someone who is approachable, friendly, and who brings a diverse mindset and a passion for helping the local community. We’re genuinely invested in your career and no matter where you start with us, that pathway is yours to build.

You’ll need:

  • A genuine passion for supporting and being involved in the community

  • An ability to influence and motivate the team in store

  • Confidence to grow and maintain relationships

  • Creativity to design and deliver workshops and activities

  • Ability to be organised, plan events and manage your time effectively

When you’re ready to give this opportunity a Red Hot Go, all you’ll need to do is:

  • Submit an application and complete an online chat interview (20 minutes)

  • If successful, next step includes an online video interview (15 minutes)

  • If you’re a match, we’ll invite you to an onsite meet and greet with our leaders (20 minutes)

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.

Bunnings strives to ensure everyone is treated fairly and our team are committed to supporting you at any stage of your recruitment journey. Be sure to let us know if you require an adjustment and we can provide the most appropriate support for you. If you have the experience, skills and a passion to grow but don't necessarily nail every single point in the job description, please still apply. Contact us at Write to the company and a member of the team will be in touch.

About Us

Bunnings is the leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products in Australia and New Zealand. We're a major supplier to project builders, commercial tradespeople and the housing industry operating from a network of stores, trade centres, frame and truss sites and online.

Please note if you are offered a role with us, background checks may be required. This can include police, employment and qualification checks.
